An invitation to Participate

Child Protection is everybody's business. We all have a part to play in preventing child abuse and neglect and a shared responsibility to create a better future for our children and young people.

The Voices Calling for Action conference will bring together professionals, service providers, community representatives and young people from the human services sector across the Australasian and Pacific regions to review research, innovative policy and practice and to identify key actions to prevent child abuse and neglect.

Chaired by media identity and National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) ambassador Julie McCrossin, the conference will feature leading international and Australasian presenters from health, education, child welfare and social policy and planning sectors. A Young Delegate Program will be a significant feature in this important national event.

The 11th Australasian Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect (ACCAN 2007), Voices Calling for Action, will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Queensland, 30th October - 2nd November, 2007.
