Student Travel Scholarships

The New Directions in Leukaemia Research Conference (NDLR2008) will bring together numerous international and national delegates covering the full spectrum of "bench to clinic" research. The over-arching goals of the New Directions in Leukaemia Research Conference are to bring together leading scientists and clinicians in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere to discuss and debate current concepts in our understanding of the molecular basis of leukaemia, new paradigms and breakthroughs at the forefronts of leukaemia research as well as the emerging therapies that offer new and exciting avenues for the treatment of this prevalent and intractable disease.

The NDLR2008 Organising and Scientific Committees in association with the Leukaemia Foundation are pleased to announce that a number of Student Travel Scholarships valued at $1000 each will be available to attend the New Directions in Leukaemia Research Conference in 2008 and to present their research in either a poster or oral session. The scholarships will be open to students who are enrolled in post-graduate studies (e.g. Honours, Masters or PhD) at the time of the conference and successful applicants will be selected by a Committee on the basis of their submitted abstracts.

Students planning on attending the conference are invited to apply for one of these Student Travel Scholarships using the attached application form.

Receipt of applications will be confirmed by email. Successful Student Travel Scholarship applicants will be announced at the conference
Please note - all applicants for Travel Scholarships will still need to register for the conference and make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
