RICHARD VAN PROCTOR

Knowing that property had to be the way to a more financial future we took our first step in 1999 and invested in a 2 bed unit in East Perth with TIC. We couldn't do anything again until 2001 when we invested in 2 properties in Brisbane. Helping others then became a way of life so in 2002 together with Frank Friedman we took on the Branch Manager role. The fun has never stopped! And property prices have not stopped increasing. Using the Club system and our expert brokers we have been able to invest in properties from Cairns to Brisbane to Gold Coast and now Sydney and Melbourne. Eight years after we started, we now have loans over $3M but who cares when we have property worth over $5M. Not a bad capital gain. With Lines of Credit based on increased equity we have not only been able to invest in more properties but also have funds available for those little extras - like visiting Antarctica recently! My goals now include helping others, being able to give value and have FUN doing it.

Richard will be presenting on the following topics: Monday 6th April 2009, Workshop on “The TIC Retirement Plan”.

IAN AND LACEY TOWNSEND

Ian and Lacey are both 26 years old and have been married for 2 years. Ian grew up in a small mining town in Central Queensland, Moura. He was home schooled until the age of fifteen until he started an apprenticeship with the family electrical business. Lacey grew up in Brisbane and studied at QUT completing a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Physical Education. Once finishing university, Lacey was posted to Moura for her first teaching position. They have been lucky enough to enjoy a holiday around the world, visiting countries in South America and Africa, as well as Eqypt, Turkey and China over a 6 month period. They were able to do this through their investment properties.

Ian bought his first investment property at the age of 19 before travelling to Canada for 12 months on a working holiday. Upon returning to Australia he started investing in positively geared properties in Moura until talking with Robin Sparkes, his support member, about the Investors Club. WENDY PRIESTLY

Wendy’s story is that her and husband John came across The Investors Club in 1997 at a Darling Harbour Expo. We then went to several meetings, spoke to a number of existing purchasers and got to know many of the features of the Club’s approach to purchasing property.

With a line of credit in place and loans arranged by Club Loans, we have been able to purchase since 1998, over 20 properties with the Club in this time. Our total property portfolio has now reached $12+ million in a little more than 10 years. It has only been with the help and support of The Investors Club, that we have been able to learn and pass on the knowledge of how to buy and hold investment property at little or no cost and how to hold for long term wealth creation and retirement funding. With the support of The Club we have been able to use the Kevin Young Wealth Plan to achieve financial independence and retire from our paid employment since August 2004, with access to over $100 000 of passive income available from our properties.

Wendy will be presenting on the following topics: “Cashflow on Multiple Properties” & “FIDO – Financial Independence Date Organiser Workshop.

In 2004 Ellie lost her husband to illness. After a time she was able to continue on the journey they had started together, and with the support of TIC, Ellie acquired another six properties between 2005 and 2007.
