i-SAIRAS is the world’s premier international symposium that showcases the latest advances in artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation for space.   2024 was the first time the event had been held anywhere in the Southern Hemisphere.  CSIRO’s objectives were to deliver a conference that presented:

 

• Opportunities for Australian innovation to be featured on an international stage

• Technical sessions: presenting the latest ground-breaking advances in AI, robotics and automation and shared research

• Expert forums and industry transfer: discussions with industry leaders about trends and new technologies, and spin-in, spin-out opportunities to accelerate space-terrestrial technology transfer

• Networking opportunities: create connections with key agency representatives, distinguished researchers, and innovative industry leaders

 

CCM provided management services to all aspects of the Symposium; highlights included:

• i-SAIRAS was attended by the World’s leading Space Agencies including NASA, CASA (Canada), DLR (Germany), JAXA (Japan), ESA (European Union), ASA (Australia), and leading international universities, research institutes and suppliers

• 2024 was the first i-SAIRAS to introduce an industry exhibition, managed by CCM, which was designed as an interactive space featuring new products, research, and processes

• Attended by 343 delegates the Brisbane event achieved the highest attendances ever at an i-SAIRAS

• CCM’s Intermediate App was deployed at i-SAIRAS and replaced all printed materials.  The App included program, speaker information, schedule, abstracts of each presentation and more
