Since 1992 CCM has been working with Indigenous organisations and Government agencies to deliver conferences throughout Australia, in Capital cities and remote locations.

CCM managed the inaugural WICC, held in Brisbane in 2016. The second edition was held in Canada and WICC returned to Naarm/Melbourne for the third edition of the event in 2024.

​

• Initially expected to attract 350 to 400 delegates, registrations for WICC reached the venue’s capacity of over 500 a month before the conference was held;

• The design of the conference included special arrangements to observe traditional First-Nations protocols in presentations, discussion forums and social events;

• WICC was attended by international delegations from the USA, Canada and Aotearoa/New Zealand and individual delegates representing First Nations groups from Australia and around the world;

• CCM facilitated special security arrangements for the attendance of The Hon Caroline Kennedy, the USA’s Ambassador to Australia, at WICC.
